maximilienvonberg: The purpose of this webpage is ONLY to provide information about my triathlon results to universities and employers. In parallel to my studies I have taken part in a number of triathlon races around the world as part of the Belgian national team. In 2007, I respectively placed 2nd and 7th at the European Long Distance Triathlon Championship in Braschaat, Belgium, and in the World Long Distance Triathlon Championship in Lorient, France, as part of the the 20-24 age group. In 2010, I finished 3rd at the European LD Championship in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, and 1st in the World Triathlon LD Championship in Immenstadt, Germany. Becoming world champion at 23 was a great satisfaction and a fantastic reward for all the hard work put into a long preparation. Triathlon is about planning a roadmap to an objective, maintaining a healthy living, training hard, keeping priorities right, strengthening your will power, overcoming your fears, surpassing yourself and learning much about human nature.
